Life Magazine recently released of a 24 year old Marylin Monroe taken in Los Angeles' Griffith Park about a year or two before her career really took off.
I've always been oddly intrigued by Marylin even before I knew about her chaotic life. I think it's something in her eyes that signals she's a bit broken or that she knows something that others don't. These kind of people/things appeal to me, I guess. But with these photos in particular she seems so full of hope and optimism (and youth, I suppose that may be part of it). Aren't they beautiful?

Wow!!! I'm 24 and I don't look like that...haha! :o)
These are heavenly! She always seemed more fragile to me than say, Audrey Hepburn. Definitely a bit of a broken spirit.
I havent seen these pictures before, they fantastic.
