I felt pretty jazzy in this outfit but (despite my post title) it was spawned from the fact Saturday was the USA vs. England World Cup match. More specifically because "the Brit" basically told me that I had to cheer for the US since I'm a "Yank" (sidenote: I'm not much of a sports fan but "football" ehem...I mean "soccer" {you know, since I'm a "Yank" and all} is acceptable).
What did my comeback involve? Fashion, of course! I came out in this red, white & blue shirt and a blue headscarf and chanted "USA,USA" in my most obnoxious/deep voice as I took my place next to him on the couch. And then...they unexpectedly tied! ha! that'll teach him to make me pick sides! Once the game was finished, feeling a little overly patriotic, I traded the head scarf in for the sequined beret you see here and danced around for the rest of the day.
