a self-made gal

Before I left for NYC I had been digging through my closet looking for things to take with me. In the process I came across this dress I made a few years ago from an over-sized vintage paisley blouse.  I guess "made" is a strong word but I did sew more shape into it and took in the sleeves - I wore it quite a bit when I first made it but I had almost forgotten about it...
I would love to be more sewing savy and make more of my own unique items but I never seem to have to time and motivation it takes!  That's something I should work on.
outfit details:
dress - vintage self-altered
shoes - vintage
cardigan - aa
necklaces - gift

I'll be back soon with an NYFW update. Meanwhile, the clothes horse posted a photo of my outift yesterday on her blog, if you are curious.

Musical notes...
I love the video Autumn de Wilde did for Big Wave
