she's a rainbow

Well… it is still scorching hot in Los Angeles but I have been doing my best to keep things interesting while remaining cool.  I've resorted to wearing a few of my neglected hats like this little vintage treasure.
I usually reserve these sort of vintage hats for special occasions – in this case, a busy Sunday seemed enough of a special occasion.

This skirt has been around for at least as long as I've been blogging though I can't for the life of me recall where it came.  It is definitely vintage – suppose I should keep better track of these things for you! Normally, I would probably throw on a little cardigan with an outfit like this but, again, the summer heat keep that from being anything but an afterthought!

outfit notes:
skirt/hat - vintage
top - old xxi
shoes - remix
In other news, how many of you lovely readers are going to NYFW this September? My plans are still a bit up in the air so I thought I'd take a little poll!

love this outfit! completely looks like something I'd wear. I never really go through my blog roll anymore, but happy I found your post. I'm mad crazy about colorful outfits. :)

really cute skirt! love the pockets and the colours.  I live in Manhattan, so I'll be here, but I'm debating whether to go to any events because I'm chronically shy.

Love it! Anything rainbow is awesome. And sadly no to New York Fashion Week being an Aussie - heading to the Brisbane one though!

I've been obsessively listening to that song on Spotify this summer and that skirt is 100% what I envision if this song was a clothing article! Plus, your hat, love it.
As for NYFW I will be around, but if I asked for time off to hang out a few blocks from my office they would think I'm nuts haha.
I hope you come to NY though!
