le cygne noir
As promised here are a couple of iPhone photos of my halloween costume this year! I really wanted to reuse my tutu from last year and this is what I came up with.

reckless daughter as lulu
This year for Halloween I went as one of my favorite 1920s starlets, Louise Brooks. I've had this photo of Louise in her Ziegfeld Girl costume framed and hanging up in my house for years so I thought I'd brave the Tutu and give it a go! here is the result...
I think there is some video of the Dime Store Dollies Halloween set but until I get a hold of that this photo will have to suffice! (me as lulu & beth as an unknown chap with a blond mustache)

rosemary woodhouse...
If you've been reading this blog for a while you may very well know of my small obsession with the film Rosemary's Baby (especially the fashion!) and it will come as no suprise that I was Rosemary Woodhouse for Halloween this year - though I opted for the final scene outfit which is basically a nightgown and slippers. I was pretty comfortable, I must say! My wig (trimmed by me and the Brit) was not the best ever but I left this costume til the last minute so I had to make do!
sorry the lighting is a little washed out! the nightgown is actually blue!
outfit details:
nightgown: American vintage
slippers: target
Hope you had a great Halloween (*those of you who celebrated it). Back tomorrow!
