colds and sequins

Hello, my dears.  Well, it's official... I caught my first cold of the season... and without even trying. And it's just in time for Thanksgiving break. Imagine my excitement.  Yesterday was basically spent in bed, hence no post, but don't feel too bad for me, I may be on the mend already.

Meanwhile, I thought I'd show you the little vintage beauty I picked up over the weekend. I think it's late 50s/early 60s and the bead work is just gorgeous...
I haven't officially worn it and it needs a good dry cleaning but I had to try it on for a few minutes just to see how it looked.

I may take it up a little length wise because it is a little bit longer than I want it to be but for the price tag I have to admit, I am quite happy!

see you soon!

I love the dress! I could definitely see that being worn for New Year's Eve, and yes, I would probably take it down a bit shorter. =)

Beaaautiful! And I actually love that length... although I too find myself hemming anything and everything, so I understand the urge!

That dress is so beautiful. It looks holiday party-tastic! I also have to say that I am kind of excited that Kate Bush is listed under favorite music in your profile because not only do I love her, she is the most amazing style icon. Wuthering Heights...yesss!

Okay...I have obviously spent the last few minutes catching up on your blog! No internet still at my place.

This is such a treasure find...it will be cute short too, but I also like it just the way it is.

Vintage shops are few and far between here. I need to go to London to find some treasures like this.
