photographic faux pas

Sometimes shooting in my garden is not the easiest task in the world, I have to admit...at certain times of the day this has been known to happen...
Trees and shadows become obstacles to spot-free photos.  But you have to work with what you've got sometimes otherwise the time between my posts would be even longer and we can't have that!
I've posted this vintage beauty a few times. It is the thinnest material ever and is really only reserved for warm weather days which is why there has been a big lapse in time since the last time I wore it. Not to say that I love it any less.
This typical 1950s cut is really good for my sort of figure, I think.  Girls were (or at lease created the illusion of being) a bit more curvy in the bust and hip area back then. Though I'm drawn to 1920s and 30s, I really should look for more dresses in this silhouette.
Thanks to "the Brit" for taking these for me despite the extreme sun!

outfit details:
dress & shoes: vintage
belt: h&m
glasses: trusty old ray bans circa 2005

That dress is amazing, and I think she shadows bring character to the photo. :)

That is an incredibly beautiful dress, and suits you very well. I'm jealous! 50s cuts do nothing for me (I was apparently made to live pre-1920), but I'd brave it for that gorgeous of a dress. And I think your photography is lovely--I like the dappled sunlight look.

I think this cut can work on many different body types, to be honest - but it's a bit more flattering on me than, say, a 1920s flapper dress (though I love them to death and wear them anyway)!

Oh my word!! I love this dress so much. It must be featured TODAY even if you did post it last week or so.  So I'm about to feature it at http://rubyeyedokapi.tumblr.com and on my own blog as well this weekend coming up.  It is featured as modest outfit inspiration of the day. I love love love this!!
