running up that hill

Why not another Kate Bush themed post to kick off the new week, eh? And this one actually has a tangible reasoning behind it... namely, my new "there is thunder in our hearts" tote from Fieldguided
(For those of you not in the know, those are lyrics from a kate bush song from which this post gets it's title)
I had watched this bag pop up in various places lately and decided I needed one in my life. I have plenty of canvas bags but none of them are as pretty as this.

This version of the tote is actually dip dyed in a rosy color (though it's a bit hard to decipher in these photos). Take my word for it, it's dreamy in person!
outfit details
bag - fieldguided
dress - american apparel
slip - vintage
belt - kate moss for topshop
shoes -uo

I also think it's high time for another round of "name that obscure plant from my garden" - Last time someone actually knew what the plant was, much to my surprise! Here is the plant in question...
anyone have a guess? If so, leave it in the comments ;)

I love your hair style! I am trying to grow out my bangs and they are driving me crazy - something like that is a nice solution to getting them out of the way. I will have to try it out!

I have been lusting after one of those tote bags too. Canvas tote bags are definitely my go-to, they are just so easy and versatile. The dip-dye is really pretty. I might have to try that on one of mine!

I'm pretty sure that's a relative of the other succulent! I just bought a fieldguided tote for my friend (the meow one) and now I want one SOOOO bad! I love your hair like that, its so chic.

ah i have one of those plants! in swedish it's called "fetbladingar" wich directly translated would be something like "fat leafs". anyway should be the name of the plant-family! if i'm not totally wrong and i could very well be just that

Your dress is very pretty. I love the bag too, I can just about make out the pink. Got to love an obscure lyric too, though it's a well known song!

It looks like jade, though I may be wrong.

This hair style looks great on you!

It's a Jade Plant, and is a succulent that can allegedly stave off thirst if you break the leaves open and suck out the moisture. I've been fortunate enough not to have to test this theory, but I suppose you could look it up. It's beautiful and surprisingly hardy, and will grow large enough to make a wall :)
