post-tramatic blogging

Firstly, congrats to Maryvannote who is the winner* of the Shabby Apple Gift Card Giveaway! Thanks to everyone who entered!  *winner chosen via random.org

This week has not been going at all as planned...I got into a car accident yesterday and my poor little mini is a bit worse for wear (and my own body for that matter).  I know things could have been exponentially worse but, I have to say, the whole thing has freaked me out a little.  I kept replaying the (basically unavoidable) incident in my head last night over and over in between trying to distract myself with Etsy & Pinterest.. they helped a little but it is funny how the mind works. Anyhow, I thought I would distract myself yet again by posting some photos taken over the past couple of weeks with my trusty old iPhone!

 (much needed) birthday present
 & some plastic friends
     Jenny Lewis & Watson Twins
     and my songwriting nook

     Charlie pretending to be road-kill
     & peonies
we found a bar that has skee ball!
&  my official 4th of July skirt

    mmmm...
    & moi avec un chapeau
     un chat nommé Mowgli
    & East LA sunset

   Charlie at the pool
&  melting in crazy Las Vegas heat

Take care out there! back soon :)

Hello,
The caption under the picture of Mowgli should read: "un chat nommé Mowgli" and not "un chat appelé Mowgli". This is how we say it here in France!
Love your blog,
Lilsirene

@Lilsirene thank you so much for pointing that out! My French is a little limited and I couldn't figure out which word to use ;) x

so glad you're ok, even if your mini isn't!  And what lovely distractions: Jenny Lewis, peonies, chihuahuas, cats, polka dot swim suits - all of it: so great!  :)

Oh man I'm so sorry. Car accidents are the worst and every time it happens to me - I'm always replaying how if things were just slightly different it wouldn't have happened. Last fall our parked car was hit by a person who had a heart attack...if only we had parked in a different place. But! Everyone was okay and you're right, things could have been worse. I'm glad you're okay! Chiropractor + massage do wonders

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you're alright! Car accidents are the absolute worst, and I'm glad to know you're distracting yourself rather than in a hospital.
