It seems polyester and sunshine don't mix in more ways then one. Still, I was determined to wear this dress over the weekend sweat or no sweat.
The long weekend came and went, as long weekends are wont to do but there were several highlights including: watching "The Brit" perform, a quick visit to TLO (yes... that means another new old dress, obviously), plenty of dinners and drinks with pals, much needed sleep, and I capped it all with an amazing live performance by my man-crush (shhh..don't tell the brit ;) Father John Misty. If you have the chance to see him run, don't walk. It was incredible and he closed it all with a John Lennon cover and that is pretty much the key to my heart, in case you are taking notes.
outfit notes: vintage dress, shoes & bracelet
I suppose I can come clean and finally tell you that I've been working away on songs for my very first solo effort - I had been a bit superstitious up to this point but now that the proverbial ball has started rolling I feel better about mentioning it. It's quite a process but can't wait to share some of them with you all later this fall. Stay tuned and know that I appreciate each and everyone of you who visits despite the slow trickle of posts lately. xoxo

Good luck with the songs lady! This dress is too adorable, even if it took a little sweat!
