DROWN the DOLLS

It has been far too long since my last art related post and I am a little bit ashamed about this fact. But fear not, I came across these oil paintings by Daena Tetle and I knew they were destined for a post.  I love underwater photos so why not paintings of people and things underwater! better yet, why not  paintings of barbie dolls underwater?!

a little thursday night

Nothing is better than spending a Thursday night as if you have nothing to do and nowhere to be the next day (even if, in reality, you do)! It almost feels like an extended weekend that way. Here is a little bit of my Thursday night...
this is "hungry me" ^ (please excuse the unidentified elbow behind me!)
yummy Thai iced tea
yummier still, coconut soup and...

 hey, look! it's the Brit.

The restaurant we went to had green ceilings and mod-looking light fixtures.
After dinner we stumbled upon this little pink Smart Car that thought it was a wind-up toy.
Then off to see a film in LA's best moive theater, the arclight - we went to SALT because I love Angelina.
But we got there a bit early - here's me waiting and I'm pretty sure eating caramel corn (so good there) when this photo was snapped, can you tell?
The movie finished we went back home to let Charlie explore the yard.
me and little Lola. She says hello!

So there's a glimpse of  last night.  I have a busy weekend ahead of me involving music related things AND  my friend Brittany is coming from Santa Barbara to stay with me!! I am told there may be wine involved.

Be safe, have fun!

warm wishes

This lovely photoshoot by Elisabeth Toll reminds me of the melting of winter into spring and though this is still several weeks away, I thought maybe it would give hope to those of you freezing. Especially in Europe, you poor things!

As for me, I'm actually feeling like I am missing out on the cold weather for the most part. Ah, Southern California...there is a reason so many people from cold climates flock here...it's 70°F here today.
