I've officially accepted that the Holidays are (essentially) upon us and I'm even really enjoying the Christmas music this year; talk to me after I've finished making 10 playlists for our Holiday Party, I may change my mind. I'm not sure why I’m so chipper about it this time around because, while I do like Christmas, I'm not usually as into the whole build-up. More often then not, I am quite unprepared for the festivities and it’s a mad rush to get presents, make my own wish lists and keep up with life in general.
Speaking of which, I thought I’d share a little wishlist with you all – along with some holiday cheer from Conan and She & Him...
Oh and these...
Also on my list... vintage dresses & cardigans, maybe a i phone 4g, any clothing from: alexandra grecco, orla kiely or dear creatures I'm sure I'm forgetting something and I know I won't be getting a lot of these things but a girl can dream, can't she!
And now...

not them again!
Yes, I know. Sorry to be a she & him fansite this past week but I've got almost no time today to work on the outfit post I had planned (I leave in 2days. yikes!) AND I'm going to see the band tonight so I thought I'd share that you can stream She & Him vol.2 in it's entirety today via NPR! The album isn't out until the 23rd so it's a nice little sneak peak...
I'll report back with a real post ASAP and I'll be sure to take notes for you all on what Miss Deschanel is wearing ;) Meanwhile, here are two really low quality iphone pics of two outfits I wish I would have purchased at Urban over the weekend (non-buyers remorse) - but I decided to save the $$ for purchases on my trip! (the hat/tights/shoes are mine) - also, please excuse the weird facial expressions. I don't have an explanation for them.

later gators!
Update** just so you know, I risked my well being to get these (they are super anti-camera at this particular venue) - and I was only able to snap a couple but I had to share my ninja photography..

the future's so bright...
I think I forgot to mention to you all that I'm about to embark on a roadtrip around the Southwestern US? Well, it's true! and I am so very excited to make my escape (albeit a brief one) from Los Angeles!
Obviously, I'll be posting about said road-trip as much as the hotel internet connections will allow but, meanwhile, I'm attempting to complete a list of to-do's before my departure next week. After compling a short list, I thought - aside from a car, gas and music - what does one need for a road-trip that I don't have? Then it dawned on me... a great pair of SUNGLASSES! When you're driving across several States with wide-open terrain and (presumably...knock on wood) loads of sunshine you need something to hide your tired eyes behind, right? RIGHT! It's not that I don't have any, it's just that I gave one pair of RayBans to "the brit", broke the other pair and my most worn pair is also about to lose an arm - I'm afraid the others just won't cut it. SO the search is on!
I've been spurred on by these cute butterscotch glasses (^ above) Rhiannon posted a week or two ago. SO...here are several contenders and/or ideas I threw together via polyvore...
Scary, huh? As you can see there is definitely a shape theme going on with most of these. A more rounded version of the wayfarer, perhaps. I do really like the floral ones on the left side of the collage but maybe something more versatile would be smarter? I should also mention that I don't want to spend a fortune this time around - because I like to lose and break things. Any other ideas, suggestions, favorites?
PS: check out M.Ward's shades in the new She & Him video...aptly titled "In the Sun"
PPS: If that doesn't entice you to watch, perhaps Zooey D in a red polka dotted dress with a hula-hoop will?

photophile :: lena erysheva
When I saw these the unbelievably colorful shots by Lena Erysheva I knew I'd have to post a few here. Sadly, I don't know much else about her aside from her being Russian - but the photos should really speak for themselves...
They actually remind me a little of the new Alice in Wonderland film (tim burton) coming out next month which I am so looking forward to! I'm pretty much a geek for anything Alice.
she & him - - thieves counting down to the new album!

A little back-story first:
